Join us for our monthly meetings! The first Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m.
Our Mission

The Friends of the Big Rapids Community Library is a dedicated group of community members who believe in the power of books, learning, and connection. Our mission is to support and enhance our Library, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for everyone. Through fundraising and volunteer efforts, we help provide materials, programs, and improvements that enrich the lives of people of all ages.

How We Make a Difference
With the funds we raise, we support and sustain essential programs such as:
📚 Summer Reading Programs & Activities – Keeping kids and adults engaged in reading all summer long!
📖 Catch ’em in the Cradle – Giving newborns their very first books to inspire a lifelong love of reading.
🏡 Homebound Delivery – Bringing library materials to those who are homebound or elderly.
📚 Library Materials & Enhancements – Helping provide books, technology, and other resources.
👶 Preschool Story Time – Creating magical moments of storytelling and imagination.
💬 Book Discussion Groups – Connecting readers through engaging conversations.
🌳 Library Space Enhancements – Improving both indoor and outdoor areas to create a welcoming environment for all.
